I do not run any anti-spyware or anti-virus software in the background so I don't think they ware related to the crash, all I can think of is either the new XAMPP lite 1.7.0 has some sort of bug by itself, or the dbg-php-5.2.dll somehow has some conflict with this particular XAMPP lite, or the dbg-php-5.2.dll has some bug. Just installed the WampServer2-PHP529-2.zip and then there was two options of PHP in the controlpanel for WAMP and after picking the 5.2.9 version there was only a reboot of WAMP and there it was fully compatible with my joomla installation. So this thread is suggesting that we should disable any non-required modules in PHP. Then I did some google search, found this discussion thread: Windows is checking for a solution to the problem.

and used patch delivered by the Apache Lounge https. To fix this issue i replaced php folder in latest Xampp with older version php. Awalnya saya agak lupa, PHP versi 5.3 berada pada XAMPP versi berapa. Karena saya menggunakan XAMPP sebagai web servernya, maka otomatis saya harus mengganti versi XAMPP yang ada pada komputer saya.
So our site is not working with this latest version (earlier it was php 5.2.9). PHP Versi 5.3 Berada pada XAMPP 1.7.2 Sampai 1.7.7. When apache crash, it will show me this error message: So i used latest Xampp 1.8.1 which already have this apache 2.4.But the latest Xampp version using the latest php engine(php 5.4).
However, I'm experiencing some random Apache crash after I upgraded to the new software. Of course I also replace the zend_extension_ts="C:\amp\php\ext\dbg-php-5.2.dll" in the php.ini under apache bin, everything seems to work fine. Recently I upgraded my local development environment from running earlier version of XAMPP lite (1.6.x I guess) with PhpED 5.2, to XAMPP lite (1.7.0) with PhpED 5.6.
